Topic: How DEP is handling updated regulations
Description: With new regulations passed last year this talk will explain
what those changes are and how the DEP is working with applicators to
make sure they are compliant. Regulation updates regarding Commercial
and Private Pesticide Applicators on rules, website updates and WPS
changes from the EPA.

Topic: Updates to EAB, Spotted Lanternfly and Boxwood blight
Description: As new and established pests and diseases are always a
concern to the industry as well as homeowners this talk will update you
on what is happening with some unwanted issues in the landscape
these days, how to identify them and what your choices are for
combating them.

Topic: What pests and diseases should you be looking for in today's
landscape and how to handle the concerned homeowner
Description: What are the pests and diseases you should be looking for
and when. There are several things to consider when assessing and IPM
approach to proper landscaping. This talk will help you to understand all

Topic: Silica Dust, OSHA Regulations & Hands-on Demo
Description: This talk will provide an overview of the current OSHA
Regulations regarding silica dust and how they apply to our industry.
The available options to be in compliance with these regulations will
also, be discussed. A demonstration of using an apparatus while dry
cutting pavers are included.

This 4.5 hour class is an update on the latest Pesticide rules and regulations for National and State Rules, Regulations, and Laws. It can be used for NJ Basic Training requirement for Applicators or Operators initial requirement or for credit for those who already hold a license. Topics include the types of licensing, storage requirements, notification requirements, First Aid, label interpretation, calculations for mixing correctly, and many other rules, regulations and laws are reviewed. This is the mandatory course for newcomers and doubles as excellent refresher and update course for maintaining one's CORE continuing education requirement.
