“Understanding Biotic Tree Hazards & How They Impact Tree Structure”

Thursday, March 24th 7-8pm

Is this tree dead? Is it dangerous? Do I need to cut it down or can I save it? These are all questions that we in the arboriculture and horticulture field that we hear regularly. Without a proper understanding of tree biology, it can be difficult to accurately answer these questions. In this conversation we will discuss the biology, structure, and reactions of trees and how they can be interrupted and influenced by biotic factors such as pests and pathogens. Learn the difference between deadly pests and dramatic pests, how and where certain pests attack, and how we can determine the hazards caused by them.
