Description: The presentation will cover new insect pests that have been recently confirmed in the state. The discussion will cover Crepe Myrtle Bark Scale, Elm Zigzag Sawfly, and Beech Leaf Disease which pose a serious threat to the diversity of our forested landscapes. The focus of the lecture will be on identification, signs/symptoms/damage, and current treatment measures. There will be a follow up question and answer period after the talk. Slide about the NRCS program at the end on new neonic ban on 10/31/23. Credits will be posted as they come in. Approved Credits: NJUCF: 1 CEU
