leading to a reduction in pesticide use. This presentation will discuss
low-input ornamental plants that are suited to various site conditions,
with a focus on ornamental grasses and shrubs that are being trialed at the NJAES Specialty Crop Research and
Extension Center in Cream Ridge.
Topics will include soil preparation and fertility, species and
cultivar performance during summer stress,
managing common insect and disease issues with the proper Pesticides,
and seasonal maintenance.
