Topic – Basics of Fertilization and Weed Control Management

Description – Rich will present a one and a half-hour talk on the basics of fertilization that is necessary to maintain good quality soil, more than any other single management practice. He will be including pre-emergent applications- an important tool in an effective weed management program, and Rich will explain that properly timing the application can be tricky. He will look at key principles in developing a weed control strategy and when to apply pre-emergent to different classifications of weeds. He will discuss different weed killers, proper seeding, the benefits and use of calcium, and biological stimulation.  The talk will be broken down into four parts, with Q&A time in between the four sections.
